This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Eventoscope collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers everyone who uses the Site: visitors browsing events, organisers with an account, and anyone who contacts us.
Unlike some event platforms, Eventoscope doesn’t handle ticket sales or payments, and browsing the Site doesn’t require an account — so we collect far less than a typical ticketing platform would.
Browsing the Site: we don’t require an account and don’t knowingly track individual visitors. Standard web infrastructure (our hosting provider) may log basic technical data like IP address and browser type, as almost every website does, purely for security and reliability — we don’t use this to build profiles of visitors.
Organiser accounts: if you sign up to submit and manage events, we collect your email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text), and the organisation details you choose to add — name, “about” text, website, contact email, and logo.
Event submissions: whoever submits an event (an organiser, or our own research process) provides details like title, dates, location, fee, CPD hours, description, and contact information, which are displayed publicly once approved.
Contact form: if you message us, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you write to us, so we can reply.
We use this data to operate the Site: showing event listings, letting organisers manage their submissions, responding to messages, and keeping the Site secure and working properly. We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t use it for third-party advertising.
Eventoscope only uses strictly necessary cookies — specifically, to keep organisers and the site owner logged in. Browsing the public event listings doesn’t set any cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We don’t sell personal data. We share it only where it's necessary to run the Site: with our hosting and infrastructure providers (who process data on our behalf, under their own security obligations), and, for event listings, with the public — event details submitted for listing are, by nature, published on the Site once approved.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Eventoscope or others.
We keep account and submission data for as long as your account is active or the listing is relevant, and for a reasonable period afterward for legitimate business or legal reasons. You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see “Your rights” below.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or ask what we hold. Organisers can update most of their own information directly from their dashboard. For anything else, contact us (see below) and we’ll action your request as soon as reasonably possible.
Eventoscope is intended for healthcare professionals and is not directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Eventoscope may store and process data in a different country from where you’re located, using infrastructure providers that maintain appropriate safeguards for handling data internationally.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
